  • How do I submit my measurements?
    After selecting your coat, we’ll connect with you to guide you through a simple at-home measuring process during our consultation.

    What if I make a mistake with my measurements?
    You have 24 hours to contact us about any corrections. If something feels off once you receive your coat, let us know - we’ll work with you to find the best solution.

  • How long will it take to receive my coat?
    Each coat is made to order and typically ships within 2–3 weeks from purchase.

    Where do you ship?
    We currently ship exclusively within Canada, with plans to expand soon.

  • What materials do you use?

    Our Signature Fifth Thread coats are made using high-quality wool and cashmere blends. However, we offer some blend and alternatives depending on your needs.

    We carefully source each fabric for its softness, structure, and performance in cooler climates.

  • What can I customize on my coat?
    These coats are completely custom. You’ll be able to choose your:

    • Fabric and lining

    • Silhouette

    • Hardware (buttons, zippers)

    • Pocket style and placement

    • Fit and length

    • Add-ons like monograms or interior label personalization (if available)

  • What happens if my coat doesn’t fit properly?
    We stand behind the fit of every coat. If something feels off, contact us within 14 days of delivery. We’ll guide you through the next steps - this could include a tailoring credit, a complimentary adjustment, or another personalized solution.

    We’ll ask for a few photos of how the coat fits, your original invoice number and a short note describing what doesn’t feel quite right.

    Can I return or exchange my coat?
    Because each coat is custom-made, we don’t offer traditional returns. However, our Fit Guarantee ensures you’re supported until your coat fits just right. Please contact us for your personalized solution.

    If your coat requires a return shipment for further adjustments, we ask that you cover the cost of return shipping. In select cases - such as a production error - we may provide a prepaid return label.

  • Can I send a coat as a gift?
    Absolutely. We’re working on our virtual gift cards - reach out to us using our ‘contact us’ form and we’ll take it from there.

    Do you include receipts or prices in the packaging?
    No - we don’t include printed receipts. Order confirmations are sent by email only, so your gift remains discreet.

  • Store in a cool, dry place using the enclosed garment bag.

  • Spot clean gently with a damp cloth; dry clean only when necessary.

  • Avoid heat or moisture - air dry if damp.

  • Apply fabric-safe weatherproofing spray seasonally if needed.

How do I take care of my Fifth Thread coat?

  • Steam lightly to remove wrinkles (never iron directly).
